Neuro Support

Terms of use

The terms for the Neuro Support app.

They're short on purpose. If anything here isn't clear, email jamie@neurosupport.co.nz and you'll get a plain answer.

Who we are

Made by NEURO SUPPORT LIMITED, in Christchurch.

The app is made by NEURO SUPPORT LIMITED, a New Zealand company based in Christchurch. Jamie Robinson is the director and the person behind it. When these terms say “we”, that's who they mean.

Who the app is for

Adults, 18 and over, for now.

If you're younger, hold on. A version with a parent or guardian alongside is on the list.

It's built for people with ADHD, autism, an intellectual disability, a brain injury, or simply too much to hold. You don't need a diagnosis to use it.

What the app is, and isn't

An external memory and planner.

It holds what your brain shouldn't have to, and gives you one next step.

It isn't a crisis service. If you're not safe, call or text 1737, any time, free. In an emergency, call 111.

It isn't medical advice, therapy, or a replacement for your doctor, your psychologist or your support worker. Your Agent can help you prepare for an appointment. It can't be the appointment.

Your Agent is an AI. It can be wrong. Check anything that matters, especially a date, a time, a name or a number. How it works, and where your words go, is on the privacy page and in the app under Me.

What's free and what's paid

The app is free. Neuro Agent is the paid tier.

The Neuro Support app is free. Timers, alarms, your calendar, capture, and sorting by rules you set. It works with nothing sent anywhere.

Neuro Agent is the paid tier, NZ$49 a month or NZ$490 a year. It's the Agent that thinks and plans with you. You buy it through Apple, and you cancel it in your Apple subscription settings, not with us. If you cancel, you keep Neuro Agent to the end of the period you paid for, then the app goes back to free. Nothing you put in is lost either way.

Each tier has a monthly allowance of thinking and voice. When it runs low your Agent steps down to a smaller model and keeps going. Capture never stops. The allowance is there so one person can't run up a bill, not so we can nag you to upgrade.

If a funder, a host or Neuro Support pays for your year of Neuro Agent, you'll get a code to put in. Same app, same terms.

Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST where it applies. If a price changes, you'll hear before it touches you.

Your stuff is yours

Everything in the app is yours.

You can see all of it, export all of it as one file, delete all of it, and walk away with it. There's no exit fee, no notice period, and no step where you have to ask us. The privacy page says exactly where it lives and who touches it.

We never read it. We can't. The copy we keep for you is locked before it leaves your phone, and we don't have the key.

What we ask of you

Use it for yourself, or for someone who's asked you to help them.

Don't use it to harm, harass or deceive anyone. Don't try to break into it, or into anyone else's. Don't put someone else's private information in it unless they'd be fine with that.

If you're using the app as a support worker or family member with a client, you're the one responsible for what you put in.

Being straight about what can go wrong

We'll keep it running, but we can't promise it's never down.

The parts that matter most on a bad day, timers, alarms and capture, work on the phone alone. The Agent needs the internet and the model, and if either is down it waits.

The app depends on Apple, Anthropic and Cloudflare. If one of them changes something, the app may change with it. We'll say so.

To the extent New Zealand law allows, we're not liable for a loss that comes from relying on something your Agent got wrong, or from the app being unavailable. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Support hours are separate

The app isn't part of a support invoice.

If you also book Support Sessions with Jamie or a Neuro Support worker, that's a service, invoiced for the time delivered. It has its own agreement, which you'll see before your first session.

When these terms change

The date below moves, and the app tells you.

If we change them, the date below moves and the app tells you the next time you open it. Keep using the app and the new terms apply. If you don't like a change, export your things and delete the app. Nothing is lost.

Which law. These terms are under New Zealand law. If something needs sorting out, we'll try a conversation first. If that doesn't work, the New Zealand courts.

Reach a person. jamie@neurosupport.co.nz, or the booking page. Email gets a personal reply, usually within two business days.

A question about the terms gets a plain answer, not a lawyer's.
