Is this right for me?

Neuro Support isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. Here’s a quick way to see if this might be a good fit.

You might be a good fit for Neuro Support if you:

  • Are an adult (20+) with autism, ADHD, or both
  • Want support that respects your autonomy and intelligence
  • Are looking for someone who “gets it” from lived experience
  • Feel frustrated with one-size-fits-all approaches
  • Want to use modern tools and systems, not just traditional methods
  • Have Individualised Funding or are interested in exploring it
  • Value collaboration over being “managed”

What the first session looks like

The first consultation is completely free — no obligation, no pressure. Just a conversation.

This initial meeting is a chance to:

Meet Jamie

See if there’s a good fit. This matters — support works better when there’s genuine connection.

Share what’s going on

Talk about what you’re looking for and what’s not working right now. No judgement, just listening.

Explore possibilities

Discuss how support could be structured around your goals. Your life, your priorities.

Ask anything

Questions about Manawanui, funding, how sessions work, or anything else. No question is too basic.

We can meet wherever you’re comfortable:

Your home • A cafe • Online • While doing an activity

How ongoing support works

If we decide to work together, here’s what the process looks like.

Goal-Setting Session

We work together to identify what matters to you and break it into manageable steps. Your goals, your priorities — I just help organise them.

Build Your System

Set up Trello boards, routines, organisation systems, or whatever tools will actually work for your brain. We test and adjust until it clicks.

Regular Sessions

Scheduled support based on your needs — weekly, fortnightly, or as-needed. Consistent enough to build momentum, flexible enough to work with real life.

Flexible Approach

Sessions can be at home, in the community, online, or wherever you need support. The format adapts to what you’re working on.

Transparent Payment

All handled through Manawanui’s app at $60/hour. Clear tracking, full accountability, and you always know where your funding goes.

Common questions

Straightforward answers to the things people usually want to know.

No — we can explore Individualised Funding options together if you’re interested. The free first consultation is a great place to discuss this. I can explain how the process works and help you figure out next steps.

That’s completely normal. Many people know something isn’t working but can’t quite pinpoint what. The free first session is exactly for figuring that out together. There’s no need to have a plan before we meet.

Never. Neuro Support is about empowering your choices, not replacing them. You are always in control of your support and your decisions. I’m here to provide tools, options, and support — the choices are always yours.

Life happens, especially with ADHD. Flexible scheduling is part of how this works. I understand that executive function challenges can make keeping appointments hard sometimes. We’ll figure out a communication approach that works for both of us.

Intentionally fewer than most support workers. This allows for deeper, more consistent support rather than rushing between appointments. Quality matters more than quantity.

Yes, completely free. No hidden costs, no obligation. It’s simply a conversation to see if we’re a good fit for each other. If it doesn’t feel right, there’s absolutely no pressure to continue.

I provide support across the greater Christchurch area. Online sessions are also available if that works better for you. Get in touch and we can discuss what works for your location.
